Irati Inoriza presenta una exposición articulada por medio de una serie de piezas y reflejos que se muestran suspendidos en una línea de tránsito entre lo que son y lo que pueden ser. En donde las obras que lo componen crean una tensión mediante un juego de elementos simbólicos y formas que invitan a los cuerpos a pasar de un estado a otro y nos dan la posibilidad de entrar a otro lugar.
Disdira significa brillo en vasco, apariciones especulares que como una luz parpadeante intentan mantener su rastro, aunque sea en el recuerdo de su visión. Una luz que brilla misteriosa y en su fragilidad deja la estela de una forma nueva y nuevos significados desde un lugar impreciso y profundo para la mirada.

Irati Inoriza presents an exhibition articulated through a series of pieces and reflections that are shown suspended in a line of transit between what they are and what they could be. Where the works that compose it create a tension through a game of symbolic elements and forms that invite the bodies to transform from one state to another and give us the possibility to enter another place.
Disdira means brightness in Basque, specular apparitions that, like a flickering light, try to keep their trace, even if only in the memory of their vision. A light that shines mysteriously and in its fragility, leaves the trail of a new form and new meanings from an imprecise and profound scene for the gaze.

DISDIRA: La luna en el mar riela
Disdira es un ejercicio escultórico que pone cuerpo a la acción concreta de emerger.
Distira significa brillo, y el brillo en el agua fluctúa, nunca tiene la misma forma ni color. Su composición está sujeta constantemente a la intensidad de la luz y a los elementos que se encuentren en el fondo del agua. Está condicionada a ser diferente en cada movimiento por su entorno.
Una forma en tránsito constante, cómo cuando el cuerpo emerge del agua. Ese preciso instante en el que el cuerpo está sostenido entre dos tiempos: antes y ahora; donde se encuentra entre dos espacios: el interior y la superficie; cuando transita entre dos medios: el agua y la tierra. Multiplicidad del ser. Momentos significativos en rituales de transformación. Muchas culturas han dispuesto de ritos de conversión mediante el cuerpo que se sumerge y emerge del agua. He querido centrarme en el gesto y signo de la performatividad de esta acción y ponerla en relieve.
Parto desde el registro en molde de una posición corporal precisa: La del cuerpo en posición vertical para sumergirse o emerger del agua, junto a artefactos comunes que se encuentran en la piscina. He producido así un conjunto de esculturas que nacen desde la repetición y variación entre estos elementos.
¿Cómo se registra la transición de una experiencia? El cuerpo A, pasa a ser cuerpo B, pero podría ser AB ó BA dependiendo de la perspectiva. Y de la disposición del agente observante. Tal vez pueda quedarse ahí, entre las posibilidades intersticiales. Me interesa ese instante por la incomodidad que se genera en un mundo determinante como es en el que estamos. Es, para mí, un umbral de real libertad para transitar entre las refracciones de las identidades sociales.
Me interesa la transición que vive el cuerpo entre identificaciones sociales.
Partir desde el cuerpo deportivo, un cuerpo que responde a unos códigos pautados y que tiene un conocimiento profundo de uno mismo, al ponerlo en diálogo con el agua, me da la posibilidad de establecer una relación entre cuerpo contemporáneo con su esencia vital.

A form in constant transit, as when the body emerges from the water. That precise instant in which the body is held between two moments: before and now. Where it finds itself between two spaces: the interior and the surface. When it transits between two mediums: water and earth. Multiplicity of being. Significant moments in rituals of transformation. Many cultures have had rites of conversion or mutation via the body that submerges and emerges from the water. I wanted to focus on, and highlight, the gesture and sign of the performativity of this action.
Starting from the registration in molds of a precise body position: that of the body in a vertical position to submerge or emerge from the water. Together with common artifacts found in the pool, I have produced a set of sculptures that are born from the repetition and variation between these elements.
How is the transition of an experience recorded? Body A, becomes body B, but it could be AB or BA depending on the perspective and the disposition of the observing agent. Perhaps it can remain there, between the interstitial possibilities. I am interested in that instant because of the discomfort that is generated in a determining world such as the one we are in. It is, for me, a threshold of real freedom to move between the refractions of social identities.
I am interested in the transition that the body undergoes between social identifications.
Speaking from the sports body: a body that responds to a set of codes and has profound self-awareness. By putting it in dialogue with water, it gives me the possibility to establish a relationship between the contemporary body and its vital essence.
